At times this world seems to be full of madness. And a dedicated effort to engage it with all your senses and good reason  - fails to respond in a way I'd consider adequate. Oops! I don't mean the whole world under the sun! It's about the 'civilized', the industrial layer of the world in gross :-) The birds, flowers, fish and humanists still seem to behave in a fair way.
One good task/practice in this condition is to focus the effort on preserving and making better the one bit of the world you have sole control and responsibility of - the YourSelf.
Call me SelFish! :-)  But if we fail to get peace and truth into this bit, what chance do we have when we are expecting reason and peace in the wider surrounding?
Making sure your motives, your intentions and your 'base camp' are pure. Following through, and finding the spot where the clear stream turns into muddy waters. Some of the pollution sources may still be in your base camp! Plenty to do, with love, but not with drive-achieve aspirations.
